ABOUT US
While IGP is an advocate for the diverse institutions and individuals that are
its Members:
- IGP itself will not take positions on “scientific controversy” (differences in opinion of scholars on the interpretation of scientific data);
- IGP itself will not take positions on “values controversy” (differences in opinion on values-based decision-making about the environment);
- IGP itself is non-partisan and non-sectarian;
- IGP itself shall not take a position, use phraseology or tone that elevates or deprecates particular perspectives or people holding a particular perspective; and
- Where there is a need to apportion limited time/space, time/space on areas of disagreement shall be apportioned roughly in proportion to their representation among experts.
These policy elements enable IGP to provide a neutral forum for all.
