RESEARCH FOUNDATION
The Institute of Green Pofessionals is committed to allocating a portion of its operating budget to the Will Steger Foundation.
In the words of the Foundation:
The Will Steger Foundation provides authentic eyewitness accounts of climate change in our polar regions that dramatically affect us and the environment. We work with leaders through our programs to inspire, empower and educate the international community in solving the climate change challenge.
Through the Foundation's educational and public policy initiatives, they are making a tangible impact on public awareness concerning the threat of global climate change. To advance state and federal policy that address solutions to global warming, they are mobilizing the public and elected officials through the compelling narrative and credibility of their eyewitness accounts of expeditions to the Polar Regions.
The Foundation's Emerging Leaders Program aims to educate, inspire, and engage a new generation of climate leadership on a local, regional, national, and international scale.
The Foundation's K-12 interdisciplinary global warming curriculum is experiential in nature, tied to national standards, and available free for download from their website: www.globalwarming101.com. WSF also provides exciting expedition footage from Will Steger's polar expeditions and a variety of other resources outlined below:
